How to formulate a reasonable regular maintenance plan for PVC conveyor belt?

In the field of industrial transportation, the stable operation of PVC conveyor belt is related to production efficiency and cost control, and a carefully planned regular maintenance plan is essential.
The first thing is to determine the maintenance cycle, which requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors. If the conveying material is highly abrasive, such as ore and sand and gravel, basic inspections should be carried out every day or after each shift; for conventional materials with moderate operating intensity, it is advisable to conduct detailed inspections once a week; and for low-load and intermittent operating conditions, the inspection can be extended to monthly inspections. This ensures that problems are detected in the budding stage and prevent them from happening.
Appearance inspection ranks first in daily maintenance. During each inspection, check along the entire conveyor belt and pay attention to whether there are scratches or cracks on the surface, which may be caused by the embedding of sharp materials or the friction of equipment components. Once minor damage is found, mark and record it in time. At the same time, check whether the edges on both sides of the conveyor belt are flat and whether there is degumming and delamination. Edge damage can easily cause the conveyor belt to deviate and affect the conveying trajectory.
Tension adjustment cannot be ignored. Measure with a tension meter regularly and calibrate according to the standard values in the equipment manual. In the early stage of the new conveyor belt, the tension fluctuates greatly due to stretching and running-in, so it is necessary to intensify the inspection; after a long time of operation, the aging of the material and the stretching deformation will change the tension, and it should be checked and adjusted at least once a month. Appropriate tension ensures close fit with the transmission roller and efficient power transmission to avoid slipping, loss of rotation or uneven tension and tearing.
Transmission components are the focus of maintenance. Clean the drive roller and roller weekly to remove dust and material debris, which will aggravate the wear of the components and affect the smooth rotation; check the wear of the roller rubber surface and the lubrication of the roller bearing every month, replace the worn roller in time, add lubricating oil, ensure the stability of support and drive, and extend the life of the conveyor belt and the whole machine.
Cleaning and maintenance are also critical. Select detergents according to the properties of the conveyed materials. The food industry uses food-grade mild detergents, and the chemical industry focuses on anti-corrosion detergents. Regular deep cleaning, remove oil stains and adhesions, at least once a quarter, so that the conveyor belt maintains a good friction coefficient and operating state. According to this plan, fine maintenance can ensure that the PVC conveyor belt can serve the production line for a long time and efficiently.
